As we prepare to launch a congregational rotation emergency shelter, we will hold a volunteer training on Saturday, May 3 at the Northwest Community Center in Spartanburg. The training will involve child protection training, a thorough review of the program’s operation, expectations and guidelines for volunteers, and reflections from families who have benefited from this program in the past. This will be a VERY helpful event to attend!
If you are unable to attend Saturday, May 3 there is another opportunity. First Presbyterian is offering a training on Sunday, June 8 from 12:30-1:30pm. Please let Elisabeth know which one you plan to attend.
Any volunteer that will have direct contact with the families is required to have this training.
